Pacquiao Plans To Sing His Own Entrance Music For Mayweather Fight

Manny Pacquiao wants to give everyone a good show when he fights Floyd Mayweather May 2nd.

Before the fight, however, listeners will be in for an interesting treat. It seems the Filipino fighter will be singing his own entrance music. I guess Justin Bieber was booked. Pacquiao once sang “Let it Go,” and the results were less than satisfying, so who knows what’s going to happen this time around.

Now he’s singing “Lalaban ako para sa Pilipino.” Translated it reads “I will fight for the Philippines.” Now that he’s singing with a purpose, the result may be different. Pacquiao is currently working on his hit single and using it as his entrance music will only fire him up more than usual, but it could end up angering those who have to listen.

Mayweather is going to have to rap something now. It has to happen.

Floyd Mayweather apparently caught wind of Amir’s comments and fired back with his own thoughts to Independent’s Sport Matrix.

“I am touched Amir is concerned. I can get him a ticket to see what the biggest fight in the history of boxing looks like,” said Mayweather.

A fairly tempered response, but I’ll admit that I expected…

Kelly Sundberg, Brevity‘s managing editor, responds to recent posts here and on Salon:

For almost nine years, I was married to a man who was our family’s primary source of income. During this time, I finished my undergraduate degree, had a baby, completed an MFA, and wrote the first draft of my memoir. You could say—I guess—that my then-husband sponsored me during that time. Still, although he was the primary breadwinner, I didn’t spend my days lounging around sipping mimosas in puddles of sunshine while lazily scrawling my manuscript. Things were still tough, and the day that I walked out on my marriage, I said firmly and clearly to anyone who would listen: I will never be financially dependent on my partner again.

Judging by my Facebook…
